In my opinion, the perfect intermediate camera for amateur enthusiasts. Superior high ISO resolution, and compatibility with non AF-S lenses made this camera worth a step up from my previous rig, the Nikon D40X.

A wonderful and affordable alternative to the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8. Smooth, quiet auto focus, lens lock to prevent lens creep, clear, sharp optics, and a solid build. A great low light lens for the price. Beautiful bokeh too!

I hate those plastic pinch-snap lens caps that come with the lens, so I always buy a screw-in metal cap to replace it. They don't come off when you take your camera out of the bag, and well...they're not plastic!

One feature I really like, aside from the ability to access your contents while walking, is the waterproof cover hidden in the back of the bag. This has saved the day on many occasions.
