This is essentially the same as the newer model. The only real difference is that the 2020 has one additional HDMI slot (3 v. 2). If you can find this cheaper get it.
SXRD is an LCOS technology (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) instead of DLP as such it has a slightly wider viewing angle, and less granularity as you approach the TV. Also it preforms better in brightly lit rooms.

Buy used from: $99.99 If the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray war ever ends this is the one that I would go with. Currently selling for around $300 by next holiday season it will probably be on sale for $200. Offering true 1080p HD and also acting as an upconverting DVD player at $200 it will be a must buy. If your not interested in the PS3 (im an x-box fan myself) then this is the way to go.

Buy new: $36.26 As stated by problems for the receiver you should really upgrade the wire. 14 Gauge at this price is hard to beat at value for money. Remember the lower the gauge the larger the cable, so this is better then 16 gauge. These aren't labeled so i recommend sticking post its on them before long runs so you can remember which is which at the end.

Buy new: $1.53 / Used from: $1.99 As every review and Forum says when it comes to optical cables as long as it carries the bits it will carry the bits, no need for monster cables or gold tips. I bought two of these for 5.00 a piece (.01 cents + 4.99 shipping) the sound is fantastic.

Buy new: $4.24 These cables work just as well as the $50 cables that you can buy from monster or Sony, and HDMI is a must if you really want the best HD quality.
