i think this gun is really cool
this gun is pretty good. it is very durable and very fun to use.if i had enough money i'd buy 9 of them! they are realy great in performance. the reason i gave it a 2 star educational rating is because it teaches some kids to read more quickly (e.g.) im in a fight it says "tagged" or "out" on the screen i need to read that quickly in order to know that im out or i've tagged someone. another example is say i have the hud on ( heads up display glasses) and i lock on to someone i need to have good reflexes to tag them. that's my review signed

This is as good as lazer tag gets!
This toy is very cool.The best thing about it is that it is compatible with the deluxe taggers,so now you can play with alot of people.Another thing good about the IRT-2X is the burst fire which allows you to perform a mega tag without over heating your gun.It has a sleek design so the gun feals more like a blaster than a machine gun.The reason I gave the educational value 2 stars is because when you play lazer tag you have to make plays such as attack pattern delta.The gun is very durable so they will not break easily unlike laser challenge gear.The toy is very fun so it will never get boring.Okay now lets get to the pros and the cons.

Indy Lazer Tag Club's experience with this gear.
If you are looking for a toy that can give you hours of fun, then this is it. We have a club here in Indy, IN (search the net for us) and we love Hasbro's new lazer tag gear. We use both the Deluxe and IRT-2X versions. They each have their strong points. The Deluxe has a larger screen with more info available at any given time. The IRT-2X has sights along the top (get the scope for the deluxe model) and it auto reloads. The IRT-2X has other differences (read the other reviews for more info.) from the Deluxe; but they are both excellent taggers and are fully compatible (i.e. they function a little differently, but you can play with them in games hosted by either type of tagger). We have been playing with this gear since July 2004 and still love it. If you are looking for fun in the neighborhood or wanting to start a club, then this is the gear for you. There just isn't any other gear in this price range that can do what this gear does. We find it quite entertaining to debrief and find out who hit who and how many times. If you check out Hasbro's website you will see they are commited to developing this gear further. This month they are releasing the TMB, which is a much larger tagger that fires a missle (nerf like device) over 30 ft to clear an area. I won't say any more about that until it comes out, but it's clear this line of tagger will be around for a while. We at the Indy Lazer Tag Club can't wait to see what else Hasbro has planned for the future.
