Editorial Review
In the old days, keeping unwanted nosy brothers and sisters out of one’s room meant hanging a crudely lettered sign that read "KEEP OUT". Today, these matters are a lot more high-tech, as is evidenced by this "lazer" tripwire system. It features three units to be planted at strategic positions around the area one wants to protect. Each unit is capable of emitting a safe LED beam and sense other beams being received, this establishing a perimeter. An included misting water bottle lets you test the otherwise invisible beams to make sure they’re in place and avoiding tripping the alarm. Three AAA batteries are required but not included. --Charlie Williams
From the Manufacturer
This ultra hi-tech personal security system will alert you to any intruder that crosses the invisible beam. Just like in high security banks and museums, you'll know when your perimeter has been compromised. Add additional units to expand the security zone.

Spy "Laser Alam"
I bought this and tried to set it up in my room. It has to clip on to something to stay stable, but the areas you clip it to almost have to be exactly parallel to each other to work. After i set it up, i had a problem trying to get it to arm the alarm. You have to set it up perfectly and it sometimes can take a few minutes. It looks VERY obvious and sticks out horribly. And after all the prep for it, it can be fooled by shining a laser pointer into the receiving unit and walking through the beam projected by the projecting unit. Overall this is too complicated to set up quickly and doesn't work properly.
Works great if you take the time to set it up properly
Hey, this product works just fine if you take the time to set it up properly. A couple pointers: I found that the low-light setting on the beam receivers works best in moderate indoor lighting. Also, the sending beams have an adjustable focus ring that you can use to make the beam more diffuse or sharp, as appropriate, to aid reception. Lots of fun and performs as described on packaging.
Trip wire
The trip wire is pretty good but it is very hard to set up three of them, and to take a little while to but when it is ready it is pretty fun. The spry does not make the trip wire beam invisible.
