Great way to enjoy your children and see the world too
I love to travel! It's always been a trill for me - the history, the food, the people, the architecture, the unexpected pleasures, the joy of the open road. This book made me realize that not only could I continue to travel now that children are part of my life, but that the experience would only be enhanced by doing it with the kids at any age. I loved the emphasis on the bond that develops with your kids and the treasure trove of really practical information on what to see and how to handle any situation. The author obviously has a passion for traveling and a unique appreciation of how children enhance the experience. A fun and practical book that will be packed in my suitcase for all future trips.
Way Beyond the Ordinary Travel Book
A Kid, A Grown Up and A Travel Bug is not your ordinary travel book, which typically is limited to telling you where and how to go to interesting destinations. Janice Davis goes way beyond that, combining a special love and enthusiasm for travel with the insights of a parent to create a truly unique guide to instilling in children a grand appreciation for experiencing the world beyond the usual. Her many tips for turning the younger set into avid adventurers who seek and embrace new things are invaluable. Reading this wonderful book provides a framework for strengthening and broadening family bonds through travel: a framework that can enrich a family through a lifetime and become a gift for successive generations.
