If you love a suspenseful story don't miss Ulterior Motives by Terri Blackstock. It has a compelling opening line that pulls you right in, and the story that follows doesn't disappoint, especially the second half, which will keep you turning pages.

In addition to an engrossing storyline and plenty of suspense, the highlights of this novel include characters you can care about, and a touch of romance. Blackstock depicts the Robinsons as a very real family with very real faults and consequences of their actions to deal with.

The spiritual element of the story is almost absent in the first few chapters then weaved in skillfully as the story follows the search for the real killer. Terri does it again! This is a great book!
This is a great book, as are all Terri's books! She keeps you guessing and in suspense. As always, she provides you with biblical answers to difficult situations. She doesn't skirt or sugarcoat the hard issues, but deals with them head on.

Ulterior Motives Review
In this third book of the series, Terri Blackstock introduces a new character to the mix. While still excellent, the characters don't have as much punch as in the previous two books. Her characters' struggles with coming to the Lord need to be better worked out. Still, this is a great read.

Motives for Reading this Book
This is excellent for our times. It is book three in the Sun Coast Chronicles, so I enjoyed the continuing saga of several of the characters from previous books. It would be most helpful for you to read them in sequence because of the recurring characters.

This particular book deals with the issue of blended families which is prevalent in our society and many Christians who strive to live for the Lord must deal with the hurt, anger and vengeful attitudes which go along with the desinigration of a marriage. It also helps us see there are always two sides to a break-up. Although one partner was faithful throughout the break-up that doesn't necessarily mean he or she was not without some fault.

It's also a great thriller involving murder and kidnapping. ENJOY!
