Editorial Reviews
From Library Journal
The latest installment in Blackstock's (Shadow of Doubt) emergency services soap opera focuses on attorney Jill Clark and firefighter Dan Nichols. As Jill talks to Dan on the phone, she is taken hostage by the suspect in an explosion that destroyed the Newpointe post office and killed three people. Dan hears her terror and, confronted with her possible loss, prays for a chance to love her again. Jill's captor swears he's innocent and begs her help in clearing his name, but he won't name the real killer because of misplaced loyalty. Fast-paced action and a reasonable explanation for an improbable plot twist show why Blackstock is growing in popularity.

Customer Reviews
The best in the series
Terri Blackstock's latest Newpointe 911 is the best of the bunch! Unlike the earlier two books in the series, the reader knows right away "whodunnit." However, this knowledge does not spoil the outcome at all; on the contrary, the twists and turns that the plot takes as the culprit is pursued keep you on the edge of your seat. As always, Blackstock's plots also involve a spiritual awakening for at least one of the main characters, and the revival of attorney Jill Clark is a major plotline of Word of Honor. How she copes with an unusual client who has some very black-and-white religious beliefs ties in with Jill's gradual renewal and deeper understanding of her own Christian faith. Word of Honor is Terri at her best, and I can hardly wait for the next in the series.
Intrigue, Conviction & (a little) Romance
Once again, Terri Blackstock has proven herself to be among the best authors-- both Christian and secular. Word of Honor is a timely story as it deals with issues of terrorism, mental instability and trust. At the same time, Blackstock's true-to-life characters challenge the reader to evaluate their own relationship with Christ, reminding them of His sacrifice for us. With just the right combination of suspense, action, faith, and a dash of romance, this novel is sure to satisfy anyone hungry for a great story!
Word of Honor is fast-paced and suspenseful.
Word of Honor was so full of action and suspense that I couldn't put the book down. Following the story lines and characters was like watching it on a movie screen. The book while entertaining also motivated me to take a closer look at myself and my relationship with God and others. If you've read the earlier Newpointe 911 books you won't want to miss this one to reunite with the characters. I didn't think it could happen but Terri Blackstock's story lines get better with each book. I can't wait for the next one.
