Joseph, Matthew, and Andrew Lawrence (TV's BROTHERLY LOVE) star in this thrilling, action-packed sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie HORSE SENSE. It's first-class adventure on the high seas for Michael Woods (Joseph Lawrence) and his cousin (Andrew Lawrence) when they charter a private yacht for a fun-filled cruise off the coast of Australia. But the yacht turns out to be a broken-down fishing boat complete with rusting hull! When they find themselves being chased by modern-day pirates, they decide that JUMPING SHIP with the boat's captain, Jake Hunter (Matthew Lawrence), is the only option. Stranded on a desert island without any conveniences from home, these three castaways must work together as a team if they hope to survive and be rescued.

Talk about your tween fantasies: Jumping Ship traps knee-weakeners Joseph, Andrew, and Matthew Lawrence (TV's Brotherly Love) in the Tropics after their charter boat falls prey to a trio of troublemaking Aussie pirates. A Spanish galleon full of bare-chested male bonding ensues; while moneybags Michael (Joseph) gets schooled in humility by loner Jake (Andrew), his kid cousin Tommy comes to terms with the loss of his dad. In between, they tackle coconut cracking, raft assembly, and some sorry attempts at spear fishing. Once high-stakes dangerous-rescue time rolls around, the fellas' foibles are all figured out, something we saw coming a nautical mile away. Though a gee-whiz-nice quality beats beneath Jumping Ship's perfect-pecs surface, if suspense is your thing, skip it--the pinup boys are all that's keeping this featherweight Disney made-for-TV flick afloat. --Tammy La Gorce

Great light hearted family fun
Although slightly implausible, "Jumping Ship" is a good all round family entertainer - ideal for those lazy summer afternoons, when you need something fun and light to entertain the kids. Certainly worth watching. There are no Oscar winning performances from the young cast, however, its pace is at a comfortable jog and worth sticking though all the clichés. The director left a couple of "bloopers" in the final version that are a nice touch.
A Great Movie! :)
I admit to it, I watch the Disney Channel more than MTV. The Disney Channel isn't only for little children, but they have movies AIMED for a teen audience.
Jumping Ship is a great follow up to Horse Sense. A little more excitement in it, not to mention all 3 Lawrence brothers. The plot is great, not predictable and the shooting location is absouletly beautiful.
A vacations starts out great, until Michael is pickpocketed. After a group of 3 pirates sees how much money he is really worth, they are out to collect ransom and "throw them to the sharks." Now the 3 boys are stuck on an island with 3 pirates on their tails. Now only a coin and a brave move can save them...
:) Watch the movie, it's worth it.
It was really good!
I thouth that this movie was really good. I recommend it for anyone of any age. At first I thought that it was going to be boring but I decided to watch it anyway cuz the Lawrence brothers are in it and it ended up being very good.
