The 12-minute "Voices of Glory" gives historical context to readings of actual letters from soldiers in the historic 54th Massachusetts Regiment, and a shorter promotional featurette offers behind-the-scenes clips and interviews. This was a very impressive movie and I am glad that I bought it. If you read the history of this civil war battle first - you will enjoy the movie much better. I recommend the movie Glory.

ZWICK'S MASTERPIECE
very , very seldom does a picture come along that can shine a light on a time and place in history and illuminate the heroic sacrifice of humanity so brilliantly . i don't hesitate to say that this is one of most deeply profound and tragically necessary films i've ever seen . it is astonishing on every level and makes me extremely proud to be both an american and a recipient of the windfall of these great men and their enormous valor and courage . on the short list of best and most important historic films since they came into being . heartbreaking and prompting much soul searching . do not miss it .
