	The Empire Strikes Back: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Special Edition) by John Williams Buy used from: $3.74 The most original and inspired music from the Star Wars juggernaut, complete with the Darth Vader march.
	Jaws: Anniversary Collector's Edition Buy new: $17.98 / Used from: $9.31 The soundtrack that put John Williams on the map. Wonderfully evocative and textured music, viscerally communicating on its own the power, mystery, and terror seen in the film.
	Sorcerer (1977 Film) Buy used from: $4.62 Tangerine Dream takes this Friedkin movie to an entirely different level, one of the supernatural, spiritual, and unseen.
	The Falcon And The Snowman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $4.25 Guitar jazz virtuoso Pat Metheny and group transform this early Sean Penn film. Arguably, a better soundtrack than movie.
	Cat People: Original Soundtrack Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.94 Giorgio Moroder applies early 80s Euro electronica to this horror remake. Most memorable for "Leopard Tree Dream," the lovely "Irena's Theme," and the title cut.
	Blade Runner: Orchestral Adaptation Of Music Composed For The Motion Picture By Vangelis Buy new: $9.98 / Used from: $1.39 Ridley Scott gave us a stunning visualization of L.A. in 2017, and Vangelis' brilliant solo soundtrack pulled it all together.
	The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Buy used from: $5.70 Ennio Morricone scores (ha!) again with his classic bar from the title theme, as well as "The Ecstasy of Gold."
	Conan The Barbarian: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Buy used from: $33.99 Basil Poledouris pulls it all together, the anger, hate, power, despair, fear, and even love of this comic-book-turned-movie. Note "The Anvil of Crom," the single greatest workout song of all time.
	Forbidden Zone: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $5.49 Strange music from a seriously strange yet enjoyable film. If you like Danny Elfman and the Mystic Knights of Oingo Boingo, then you're going to be happy with this one.
	The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975 Film) by Richard O'Brien Buy new: $11.98 / Used from: $4.00 Yeah, a soundtrack for a musical is kind of like wimping out, but you can't deny the greatness of this film and its score.
	The Pink Panther Buy new: $12.98 / Used from: $7.54 The original theme from Henry Mancini himself. Slip on your headphones and luxuriate in the sound of the whole band, with that fat, fat horn section coming down on the Main Theme.
	The Music from Peter Gunn (1958-1961 TV Series) by Henry Mancini Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.24 More classic Mancini, with that undeniable Peter Gunn riff.
	After The Fox: Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack [Enhanced CD] by Burt Bacharach Buy used from: $8.96 Burt Bacharach pops in with some fun although not necessarily deep scoring. Best here: "Via Veneto," "Italian Fuzz," and "Making a Movie in Sevalio." Wonderful communication of mod early 60s Italy.
	Get Shorty: Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack Buy new: $14.98 / Used from: $0.01 A simple jazz collection makes a good movie really pop. Check out "Chili Hot" and "Stink."
	Sneakers: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Album Buy used from: $6.99 Branford Marsalis and friends also put jazz to work to really add texture to an excellent film. The Sneakers theme sets the tone in the opening scene, and it's fantastic from there on out.
	Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981 Film) Buy used from: $21.95 John Williams again puts his Midas Touch on a movie. Of course, this one's most memorable for Indiana's Theme, powerful enough to get anyone up and moving, heroically.
	Apocalypse Now: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Rhythm Devils Buy used from: $9.35 The old and the new come together to put the finishing touches on Coppola's brilliant film. Incredibly evocative music, such as "Orange Light," "Do Lung Bridge," and "Strange Voyage."
	A Clockwork Orange: Wendy Carlos's Complete Original Score Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $12.85 Wendy Carlos' groundbreaking (for 1970-72) electronic classics for Kubrick's masterpiece.
	Liquid Sky by Original Soundtrack A wonderful techno-New Wave gem from the 80s, original in the extreme, and cut on a shoestring budget. The perfect complement to the hard yet riveting film.
	The Great Escape: Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack by Elmer Bernstein Buy used from: $6.84 Elmer Bernstein punctuates the POW struggle with his score, and its infectious, slightly subversive main theme.
	Chariots Of Fire Buy new: $7.97 / Used from: $2.00 Vangelis brings it again, this time winning the Academy Award for this deep, lush score.
	Body Heat (1998 Re-recording of 1981 Film) Buy new: $16.98 / Used from: $9.98 John Barry's hot, brooding, sinister soundtrack to the Lawrence Kasdan thriller.
