The amazing story of Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi party who saved the lives of more than 1,100 Jews during the Holocaust during World War II. I would have never known Schindler's story if it wasn't for Steven Spielberg making this movie. Spielberg called this movie "the most satisfying experience of my career."

Helen Keller had an amazing life, and played on the screen by Patty Duke, who suffered much to give us this movie.

The story of Sister Helen Prejean, and her relationship with a condemned man Matthew Poncelet, helping him to find salvation on death row. I think it's one of the most emotional movies of all time. Susan Sarandon won best actress, Sean Penn was nominated but should have won too, and I think he is truly the best actor of his generation.

Based on the memoir of combat veteran Ron Kovic, whose gunshot wound in Vietnam left him paralyzed from the chest down. Great acting by Tom Cruise who was nominated for best actor. Another movie I consider too painful to watch more than once!
