Product Description

Bread-shaped cards are dealt evenly to players sitting in a circle. They then take turns flipping their top card onto the center pile. If two of the same cards appear in a row, such as two pickle cards, then that's a Double Decker! If two of the same cards are separated by a different card in the middle, such as 2 bacon cards with a peanut butter card in between, then that's gross, but it's also a Slamwich! The first player to slap the pile when a Double Decker or a Slamwich appears, keeps the pile. But don't make a Slip Slap - that's when you slap the pile by mistake - or you'll lose a card. Players can also gain cards by stopping sandwich thieves, and Muncher Cards give you even more opportunities to gorge yourself on all the food. The first player to collect all the cards might lose their appetite, but they'll win the game! For 2-6 players. Ages 6+

Customer Reviews

Really fun card game! And you can add some of your own variations5
I recently bought SlamWich based on a recommendation and I think it is really fun! It is fast and silly and enjoyable. My 5 year old twins were easily able to play. (Actually, we removed those 1,2,3 cards for now to make it easier, but we'll try to add them back soon.

I did play once with my husband and he did whack my hand pretty hard (it twisted my finger a bit) so I can see where the one person with a "1" star rating was coming from, but I don't blame the game for that - I blame my over-zealous husband! :-)

Since then, I went and purchased several of the Gamewright games, and I think they are all pretty fun. For me, it has been money well spent.

We have added some silly variations to the game - like if you get a Tomato and then Red jelly combination, we yell: Red Wich. Or Green Lettuce and Green Pickles: Green Wich. And Hot Dog next to Bacon: Meat Wich. That sort of thing. Which makes it tricker because there are more combinations to look for.

I believe this game is made by a small company in Massachusetts which adds to the appeal for me.

Really fun and highly recommended by me!

Super-Fun Great Value!4
This game is so much fun! I love the shape of the cards and their illustrations. It's easy to learn, good for your memory and doesn't make a huge mess. Plus, it's very reasonably priced.

Great game!5
My seven-year-old got this for Christmas last year and our whole family loves it. My five-year-old daughter loves it the most and would play it for hours if she could. One game does tend to go on for a long time but I'm sure it's teaching things like hand-eye coordination and pattern recognition.
