Customer Reviews
GREAT for the little guys and gals
Okay, I read some glowing reviews of these "glue dots" and thought I'd give them a try. The four year old loves making crafts but uses half a bottle of elmer's glue at a time. So we got these and all three of them loved them. The nine year old made "pockets" the five year old made various cut paper things and the four year old stuck an entire roll of them to the table.
They do truly stick immediately and securely. On the other hand they are still fairly easy to clean up... much like rubber cement all I had to do was rub at it and it came away in a little ball (that looked like Bob from Monsters vs. Aliens) [note: since I got the three pack I'm not sure which was used to decorate the table, might well have been the removable ones and thus the others might not clean up as easily]
They're on little rollers - like correction tape or those little circles that we used to put over the holes in our paper. They come off easily but the 5 year old's kept getting stuck. Occasionally the four year old's wouldn't separate from the roll but aside from what were probably a few user glitches they were very straightforward.
Great product. Whoever came up with it had to have kids who were graduating highschool before their preschool art finally dried.
So easy to use, so fun to use.
Glue Dots are very easy to apply. You get 200 dots on a tape cartridge. Each dot is around 3/8" in diameter. They stick instantly to paper, wood, glass, metal, walls, etc, no need for drying. No mess, especially if you are dealing with younger children. I also use them as an earthquake putty for small things on the shelves. All you have to do is to press it against the surface you want to apply glue on, and roll it. Be careful in rolling the tape if you want to use only one dot as the dots are pretty close to each other. It has a removable cap to cover the exposed dots from dust. Don't lose the cap.
Permanent Glue Dot: The permanent Glue Dot is very sticky, and you really cannot use it on paper and remove it without tearing it apart. This is great for scrapbooking.
Removable Glue Dot: The removable Glue Dot is for temporary projects, you can even remove it after sticking together regular bond papers. You can turn anything into a post-it notes.
Poster Glue Dot: The poster Glue Dots works great but you may need to place more depending on the size and weight of your poster.
They have a lot of products, not only categorized as poster, removable, and permanent; but also in different dot sizes, 1/2", 3/8", 3/16". So, just be mindful which one you really need before purchase. They are not refillable. Non toxic.
Keep them away from the carpet or wallpapers.
The applicators don't work as well as I had hoped and boy are these things convenient!
I got the impression that I could use the applicator to "roll on" the adhesive dots. Maybe it's me but I have to apply them one at a time.
Other than that, they do what they say, are easy to transport, and provide reliable results.
One useful trick is to put a perminant dot on something and then place a removable dot on top of that. That allows you to stick the "something" somewhere and when you remove it you are sure the adhesive dots come along. It effectively allows you to create heavy duty "postits" and be sure you don't leave adhesive behind.
