Great Album5
This album is as good as, if not better than dial 'm' for monkey. Though I listen my favorite songs from each mixed in one playlist. I have recently came across this genre of music and love every bit of it. It creates such a wonderful atmosphere and if you get into the feeling your surroundings become more alive. Bonobo creates this feeling with most of his work and his production is above and beyond. Im and avid music fan and have a very eclectic taste. I get alot out of music and am very passionate about it, its not hard to tell that simon green (bonobo) feels the same. I personally like listening to all instrumentals in the chill genre and love the fact that he gave us the instrumental versions of the songs that had vocals. Overall, you cant go wrong with bonobo.

Not quite what I hoped for4
Some of the old Bonobo shines through here - that is, when he provides a few of the lovely dense instrumentals that true Bonobo-philes live for. Unfortunately, he's chosen to add vocals by Bajka and Fink to many of the tracks. They're both fine singers, but, for the most part, vocals don't add anything to the Bonobo sound. Instead, the tracks with vocals sound kind of boring and conventional by comparison to the instrumental tracks. Perhaps anticipating this reaction from some, a bonus disc gives us purists some of those vocal tracks with vocals removed. While I appreciate the added value, this will still rank as my least favorite Bonobo album. I guess I'll still be looking forward to his next one though...

Simon Green aka Bonobo's most recent album is nothing short of excellent and brilliant. Especially pleasing after his last release, a mix album for Ninja Tune's Solid Steel series - which was slightly disappointing as there was obviously little of the Englishman's original material. This lp features more vocals than before, most by Bajka, but there is also a great track featuring Fink. I would highly recommend you pick up the 2-disk version of this album as the bonus second disk contains several instrumental versions of songs of the first disk. I say this because although the addition of Bajka is a nice surprise and sounds great, it does get old and kind of annoying after a while. But only when you compare them with the instrumental versions on the bonus disk. I'd also recommend ordering the album directly from the Ninja Tune label (they're a good deal quicker than Amazon). Hope this helps - now go out and by this long-awaiting salvation from Bonobo!
