"Silver threads and golden Needles" is IHO probably the best Country song ever recorded. And "Don't Cry Now" is my Favorite Country Album.

For many years I thought I hated Buck Owens. I think I felt that he was somehow responsible for me having to move to Bakersfield from Orange County when I was starting High School. After hearing him sing what I thought was a Ray Charles song "Cryin' Time" and finding out that he wrote it I began to soften up.

Although Linda Ronstadt's version is my favorite, " I will always Love You" is one of the most beautiful break up songs ever written.

This is the new face of country. Sugarland takes Country back to it's roots in flavor, but makes it current at the same time.If you listen to "Stay" you will feel the raw emotion in your gut.

Speaking of a fresh view of Country... Ryan Shupe plays what they call "New Grass" a mix of genres played with traditional Bluegrass instruments. A mix of Novelty songs, ballads and Bluegrass. These guys are very fun performers. I have the original pressing that has songs not on the pressings made after "Dream Big" But if you want something a bit different, this may be for you.
