Ace Young Appeals to the Older Crowd
I don't remember Ace Young on American Idol, probably because I hate the show and don't watch it. However, I must say this CD is not bad at all. I've heard worse coming from new artists. I'm middle age and usually don't buy a lot of pop CD's anymore. I was browsing at the mall one evening and decided to go into a music store and proof listen some CD's from today's artists.

After listening to a few sample tracks, I bought Ace Young's CD. After listening to all the tracks, I must say it is a pleasant CD to listen to. I don't think it will be a Grammy winner but this is a very good attempt.

I've always loved electronic music and I create electronic music tracks myself. I've been singing for quite a few decades and this young man has a pretty sophisticated style for someone so young.

I hope he gets some momentum to record more. Ace Young will be someone I'll watch out for in the years to come.

Something for everyone
Ace Young's first CD far exceeded my expectations. There isn't a single song that I am tempted to skip over. The production on each track is lush, polished and multi-layered. The variety of ballads, pop, dance, and emotion keeps things interesting from beginning to end.

Each song tells a story. No silly novelty songs here. Universally understandable emotions fill the lyrics of this album.

My favorites cover more than half the songs. I like The Letter, You Redeem Me, Fast Life, Young Money, How You Gonna Spend Your Life, The Girl That Got Away, Dirty Mind and The Gift. But I must like the final three songs the best. Each time I hear the beginning of The Girl That Got Away I smile. I know I'm at the beginning of an up-tempo three song ride.

Go ahead, buy this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ace Attack!!
Ace, I'm so very proud of you. I have to admit that I've been a loyal fan since you appeared on Season 5 of American Idol, and this cd was a long time coming but so worth the wait. Your cd is simply amazing. All of the tracks are enjoyable and radio friendly - no filler here!! There is a nice mixture of ballads, up-tempo & R&B tunes to make this album flow like water from a stream. It is quite obvious that you didn't rush to make this cd and selection of songs. Ace is finally here to show the world what he has to offer which is a beautiful voice and heart that only he knows how to portray in his voice when singing. I honestly like every track on this cd, but my absolute favorites are: Addicted (of course), You Redeem Me, How You Gonna Spend Your Life, & The Girl That Got Away.

Congratulations Ace on a job well done - you deserve this!!
