Clear, concise, and persuasive, Atheist Universe details exactly why God is unnecessary to explain the universe and life's diversity, organization, and beauty. The author thoroughly rebuts every argument that claims to "prove" God's existence — arguments based on logic, common sense, philosophy, ethics, history and science.
Atheist Universe avoids the esoteric language used by philosophers and presents its scientific evidence in simple lay terms, making it a richly entertaining and easy-to-read introduction to atheism. A comprehensive primer, it addresses all the historical and scientific questions, including: Is there proof that God does not exist? What evidence is there of Jesus' resurrection? Can creation science reconcile scripture with the latest scientific discoveries?
Atheist Universe also answers ethical issues such as: What is the meaning of life without God? It's a spellbinding inquiry that ultimately arrives at a controversial and well-documented conclusion.

From the Publisher
Is there really a God? Or does God exist only in our heads? Is the Bible truly God’s Word, or a jumble of fanciful myths? THE WORLD'S BEST-SELLING BOOK ON ATHEISM is your front-row ticket to mankind’s most enthralling debate.
Among the intriguing questions addressed in this all-inclusive volume:
* What, precisely, is atheism, and why is it misunderstood so thoroughly?
* If God is a myth, then did the universe appear from nothing?
* Does the meticulous clockwork of planetary motion result from mindless random forces?
* Do atheists believe that human beings evolved through blind accident from lifeless matter?
* Do the splendor and intricacy of life on Earth reveal evidence of intelligent design by a supernatural Creator?
* Can atheists prove that God does NOT exist?
* What about Creation Science, and the popular new movement to reconcile Scripture and science?
* Have recent scientific discoveries pointed to God’s governance of the cosmos?
* Did Albert Einstein believe in God?
* Does the fact that energy cannot be destroyed lend credibility to a belief in eternal life?
* Without God, can there be a valid system of ethics or an objective "right" and "wrong"?
* Does religion encourage moral conduct and civilized behavior? Is the Golden Rule really such a bad idea?
* What is the meaning of life without God?
* When we die, are we simply dead like dogs?
* Did atheists suffer a trauma in childhood that warped them into blasphemous rebellion?
* Because of ubiquitous injustice on Earth, is an afterlife required to redress the imbalance, where evil is ultimately punished and virtue rewarded?
* Is atheism just another crackpot religion?
* What’s the harm in a person’s private spirituality? Does humanity have everything to gain, and nothing to lose, through belief in God (even if He’s only imaginary)?
* Apart from the Bible, is there secular historical evidence of Jesus’ miracles and resurrection?
* How do atheists explain "near death" experiences and medical miracles which amaze even skeptical doctors?
* Why should a tiny minority of atheists be able to force their opinions on everyone else by banning prayer in public schools?
* Since "there are no atheists in foxholes," have famous nonbelievers recanted on their deathbeds?
* Did Old and New Testament prophecies correctly predict events which actually unfolded during our own lifetimes?
* What about the Shroud of Turin and the discovery of wood fragments from Noah’s Ark on Mount Ararat in Turkey?
* Does the Law of Entropy (or the "running down" of the universe) contradict evolutionary theory, which asserts that Nature’s complexity is increasing?
* Is there absolute proof that man evolved from a lower form of life?
* Even if you believe that all life evolved from a single cell, how could complex cellular life originate without a Creator?
* Is atheism a totally negative philosophy, leading only to cynicism and despair?
* Does communism’s past embrace of atheism prove that atheism is an evil and failed philosophy?
* Was America really founded upon Christian principles by Christian believers?
* What is the true, behind-the-scenes relationship between politics and religion in 21st-century America?
All of these questions — and hundreds of others — are fully confronted and methodically answered in the riveting pages of Atheist Universe. It’s all here for you in one richly entertaining, comprehensive, and easy-to-read volume. Few other books provide such spellbinding inquiry and arrive at such a controversial and well-documented conclusion.
From the Author
I’m pleased and excited that your search on Amazon.com has beamed you to this page, showcasing my new book, Atheist Universe. I want to thank you personally for your interest in this title. Many years of painstaking work, research, and thought were devoted to this project. I am delighted with the finished volume.
Compared to most authors, I write slowly. I could never crank out five or six books a year as Isaac Asimov did so brilliantly throughout his incredible life and career. I like to believe, however, that my unhurried pace permits fine attention to detail and to precise use of language. One of my favorite quotations is that of Thomas Jefferson, who, in a letter to John Adams, wrote "I apologize to you for the lengthiness of this letter; but I had no time for shortening it." Jefferson meant that a skillful writer uses as few words as possible to communicate his message. If I can successfully convey my thoughts to you using a 12-word sentence, then I am watering down my own message — and wasting your limited time — by stretching my sentence to 13 words or to 30. Concise writing saves time and effort for the reader, but demands more time and effort of the writer, as Jefferson pointed out. In writing this book, I did devote the time necessary to shorten each sentence to its minimum length.
Another priceless tip for good writing — a tip which I strive to follow — was articulated by the 20th-century philosopher, Mortimer Adler. Adler taught that "writing should be clear without being plain, and elevated without being obscure." By contrast, much writing in contemporary circles is plain without being clear, and obscure without being elevated. I will leave to your personal judgment whether I have successfully followed Adler’s prescription for good writing in Atheist Universe.

"The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." Psalm 14:1
Your thirst for answers can only truly be quenched within the Bible. God's inspired, infalliable, and inerrant Word holds answers to scientific questions throughout. Besides creation, the Bible explains truths from the sciences of genetics, isotasy, agriculture, astronomy, paleontology anatomy, medicine, and many more! All of them thousands of years before man discovered them on their own.
The Bible tells us that we were created to give praise to our Heavenly Father. Once you realize that man is wretched and sinful and that only through Christ can we escape God's wrath on Judgement Day, then and only then can you be truly happy, secure in the knowledge of your eternal life.
So, what should a person do to get to Heaven? If you said, "There is no Heaven" or "You just have to live a good life",YOU ARE WRONG. Stay with me and find out why. Let's see if you've been a good person. Jesus said "Whoever looks with lust has committed adultery in their heart". Have you ever lusted? Have you hated anyone(committed murder in your heart)? Have you made a god in your mind to suit yourself(idolatry)? Have you used God's name in vain? Have you ever stolen anything regardless of value? If you have then you are a thief. If you have told just one lie, then you are a liar and CANNOT get into heaven. On Judgment Day you will be found guilty and end up in Hell forever. But that's not God's will. We broke his Law but because Jesus paid our fine by dying on the cross, God can forgive us. If you REPENTand trust the Savior, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. So confess your sins to God today, put your faith in Christ, and obey God. Read John 14:21
Excellent book for the Free Thinker
If one were open-minded or an aspiring Free Thinker, this book will be read and cherished for a long time, almost to the level of Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion" or Sam Harris' "Letter to a Christian Nation".
Whereas "The God Delusion" is from a strictly speaking scientific point of view and rebutts the arguments for God's existence and details the evil wraught on humanity throughout history, this book has a larger focus on countering the ridiculous claims of Creationism, and specifically the Intelligent Design Movement.
To a person who prefers evidence over belief, this book is an excellent companion for your thought. While it won't budge those fundamentalists (since you can't change a belief when its not based on evidence), for people who still cling to or follow a religion only loosely, and more of a product of their environment and American upbringing, this book could open some eyes.
An Excellent Book on the Logic of Atheism
There are many books on the topic of atheism. This is one of the best. The book is very easy to read, delivers a few arguments against God that I had never heard before, and provides one of the clearest (and most simple) explanations of why evolution is not statistically improbable. ...Sorry Dr. Dawkins!
I was a fundamentalist, born-again biblical literalist for many years. While this book did not cause my deconversion (only a serious, rational study of the Bible can undo decades of inculcation), it certainly placed a nail in the coffin.
Atheist Universe is an excellent book for the general public and requires little more than common sense and an open mind. For those who are more philosophically inclined I would also recommend, "Atheism: the Case Against God" by George Smith. In fact, both books are MUST reads if you are seriously examining or wish to learn about the atheist viewpoint.
