Well, you’ve either got to have a sense of humor to own this tape or you’ve got to be impervious to the inevitable jokes that will follow you because of its name. That aside, we like this rugged tape for its heavy-duty, high-impact plastic comfort grip case because it is as close to unbreakable as you can get, and it’s relatively compact for the 25-foot length of the blade it houses. The blade itself has a serious spring action to it and recoils like lightning. There are two things that set this tape apart from the pack. First, dual cursors line up with blade increments for pinpointing exact measurements. But our favorite feature by far is the see-through, moveable end hook on the tape. Normally, you lose your view of the first bit of tape to the metal hook and rivets. Bravo to Johnson for giving us back the start of the tape. You still have the flexibility to measure inside or outside a corner with super accuracy, as the hook moves like its metal cousins,

Big Johnson Tape Measure
This is the 3rd one I have owned and will not use another tape measure. I love the way it fits in the hand, the lever lock and the tip for inside and outside measurements. The belt clip doesn't fail. A real quality product.

Clip and lock are the best
I make my living as a window and door estimator. My last black max stanley lasted about a year before breaking. The quality of the Big Johnson is at least as good. The quick release clip works great, and you
don't have to worry about putting scrapes in your nicer belts, like the
standard clips will.
