Customer Reviews
Seems good
It's very small and light. I'm not sure if it's reliable in nonoptimal conditions, e.g. rinsing mouth with water or soft drinks minutes before using it. Nevertheless, it increases confidence on taking a car after drinking.
I don't know how well this works
I have nothing to compare this to so I gave it 4 stars because it does work, but it seems expensive for such a little item that is about the same size as a car alarm remote. It is designed to be put on a keychain but there is no way in hell I would do that. Dirt can easily get inside the open holes and screw up the accuracy. This is too expensive for that.
It really should have a small carrying case. The one thing I don't like about it is that you have to put your mouth on the top part of the outercase. There are no protective sleeves. I guess you are just supposed to lug this around in your pocket and then put it in your mouth when you are testing. Then you pass it around to your friends. Gross!
I got this device for personal reasons.
When I first go it, I blew a .000 since I had nothing to drink. Then I rinsed my mouth with Scope, and blew a .200. That is about 2.5 times the legal limit. After about 10 minutes or so it did go down to .000, so I know it works at least.
happy with my purchase
I have used this unit on two occasions and I've felt that it has been accurate. Although I have not used it as a tool to gauge my cosumption for driving (as I was not the DD) it has helped me to watch my intake in general :) It's quite a handy little device.
