Get it!
We have owned this for a year now. Apart from the batteries needing to be replaced because of heavy use, this game is in great shape and continues to amuse my kids, myself, or anyone who plays it. Kids fight over it, "My turn! My turn!" It's been dropped on the floor several times and it continues to hold up. Even my little 3-year-old is able to understand the basic concept of this game, though he doesn't get very far, and at the very minimum enjoys the lights and sounds. For the bigger kids, this provides lots of mind challenging fun. My 6- and 7-year-olds get a lot out of it. I can't see ever getting tired of our Simon Trickster. It doesn't go out of date. It's for kids and adults alike. I'm getting for my own father this Christmas, he is a very playful person at 60 and I know he'll love it. Would recommend Simon Trickster to anyone!
Fun, but confusing
The game unit is confusing at first to figure out because it doesn't come with a manual on which game you can play. You have to press one of the buttons just to get to the game you WANT to play (i.e., the Simon Basic game). You don't know what you're going to play until you figure it out! No manual. Dissapointing.
Otherwise, when we find the game we want to play, it's a lot of fun! Especially with a 4-year old and a 17-month old!
Great toy- sketchy packaging.
Simon is a great toy with lots of play variations. My kids love it. Packaging could have been more substantial. When I was wrapping the gift, the pressure on the package actually set off the sounds. It almost blew the surprise. Otherwise Great!
