Good MP3 player for kids and inexpensive karaoke machine
I bought this for my 8 year old as a birthday present and she loves it. We uploaded all of her Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus cd's to it and we were ready to go. We have not tried the lyrics function yet. We are considering buying another one for my other daughter's birthday. We used Windows media to load the mp3 player with the songs from the CD's. It was not that hard to do. My daughter loves the karaoke function. She was singing and dancing along with Miley in no time.

Don't Buy
Any song loaded on the device would would not play completely. 5-15 seconds into a song, device would click, reset itself and stop playing. I reformatted the device and reset it several times as user manual suggests with no change. Customer service will not answer phone, return messages or return email. I'm still waiting for my refund after sending the device back.

Don't bother if you are a Mac user
This is absolutely frustrating. I was originally told that it is compatible with Macintosh; however, the software instructions state that you can not use the software with Mac - only with a PC. Customer service is laughable. You can either leave a message or send an e-mail, neither of which is returned in a timely manner.
The first one we received was defective and it took 6 e-mails and 1 phone call for them to determine that I needed to get a replacement unit. They said they are not familiar with Macs and thought that I needed to install the software before it would work. The software that is not mac compatible!
This time around I have not received any response from customer service and wish I had not bothered with the replacement, seeing as the broken unit worked just as well as this one.
It looks like a fun product, but reading the reviews regarding the lyric typing, along with the inability to get through to customer service, the unknowledgeable customer service reps and useless set up instructions, even for the $25 I was able to get it for, it is not worth the money or the time involved. Look for alternatives!
