Customer Reviews
This little sucker rocks!
Got mine for $24.99 at Ross Dress for Less! Was a bit smaller than I anticipated at only around 9" long x3"x3", and it seemed a bit cheapish, but once I put my Nano in it I became a happy customer. This thing for its size and the price really sounds great - crank the volume up to 40, it sounds crystal clear and fills my master bedroom with great sound. I'm laying hear listening to Bono sing 'Beautiful Day', and it is as if he is here in the room. And to be honest, I'm quite glad he isn't. Radio stations were amazingly clear as well. This thing is exactly what I wanted - a stylish, simple, small clock radio that doubles as an excellent iPod player/stereo/charger. Controls are simple enough that you can learn to use them in the dark. Put batteries in and when the power goes out you won't have to reset the time, unless power is out for like 5 years, in which case you're skrewed in more ways than one. I'm really impressed and will enjoy this good-looking, good-sounding unit for years - I hope. Well worth $25 - a no-brainer. Ross also gets this same unit in under a different label called Merkury - same unit, different box, same price. This unit is a lot better than some pricier units I tried and returned....
Sounds fine but it has no power cord
This unit sounds good and works as described but does not come with a power cord....so you have to run it on batteries...in which case it does NOT recharge your iPod....and it wastes batteries. To buy a power cord might cost $15 - $20 at RadioShack....effectively doubling the price of the unit.
Not worth it in my opinion. I am returning the unit.
basic alarm clock
this product is good as a basic alarm clock.
small an nice looking but the sound quality from the ipod (or a different player since there is a cable to connect any other MP3s) is really poor.
I got it for 20$ at radioshack and I think 52$ is a little over priced for a simple alarm clock.
