Customer Reviews
Spectacular and glorious.
The King's Singers join The Mormon Tabernacle Choir on this latest Christmas CD, and it is wonderful from beginning to end. I've long been an admirer of The King's Singers, with their wide-ranging repertoire and cheeky, dry humor. And they have several stand-out performances here, both with the Choir and on their own. I love especially their rapid-fire take on "Jingle Bells" and the lovely "La peregrinación." The Choir sounds absolutely glorious here as well, from the soaring "The First Nowell" to the brand-new processional "Rejoice and Be Merry". But my favorite tracks are those where the two groups join forces - most especially on the new Mack Wilberg setting of "O Holy Night" which is ...transcendent. Here's the full track listing:
1. Sussex Carol (Choir and Orchestra, featuring The King's Singers) 3:09
2. Carol to the King (Choir and Orchestra) 4:46
3. The First Nowell (Choir and Orchestra) 4:58
4. Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly (Choir and Orchestra, featuring The King's Singers) 3:46
5. El niño querido (The King's Singers) 3:02
6. La peregrinación (The King's Singers) 3:12
7. Riu, riu, chiu (The King's Singers) 1:30
8. Rejoice and Be Merry! (Choir and Orchestra) 5:20

10. Ding Dong! Merrily on High (Choir and Orchestra) 2:50
11. O Holy Night (Choir Men and Orchestra, featuring The King's Singers) 6:49
12. One December, Bright and Clear (Choir Women and Orchestra) 1:53

get into the Christmas spirit
I have numerous Christmas CDs but find myself listening to this one most often. Both groups are superb, both individually and when they sing together. Some of the carols are so beautiful they can bring you to tears.
Simply the best!
Once again, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir doesn't disappoint. This is probably the best Christmas CD I own! Their version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is priceless!
