Leather Cover Arrived Before Kindle
While waiting for my Kindle to arrive, I've been reading the forums, blogs and lists about all things Kindle. The leather case was the first item to arrive. Since I haven't received my Kindle, I can't speak to how well this case holds the Kindle in place compared to the cover it ships with.

BUT, I love the look and feel of this black leather case. I also like the way you can fold it back and have something to hold onto while you read. I have to believe that will help avoid accidental page turns so many have complained about. I also like the small pockets on the left side.

It will fit smartly in my purse to hold my new toy. Can't wait for my Kindle to arrive so I can try it on for size.

Better than I thought
I almost didnt buy this because of the so so reviews, but I broke down and got it. Glad I did. The product is all around good, put together well and very handy. Some of the owners didnt like the fact that it didnt have the portion that fits into the screen on the Kindle. I havnt found this to be a problem. To me it protects the device as well as the case that came with it, in fact I think it holds it in better. My favorite part is something that another owner griped about. You can fold the cover over and the locking flap will slip into the hole and it holds it back. Makes it a whole lot easier to handle and read, more like a real book. So yeh, happy with this cover.

Speaking only for me....I Like It
I have owned this cover for approximately a month. Fortunately, I haven't had any of the issues listed in the other reviews.
-So far, no smell, no rubbing off of color.
-The mighty brite light attaches well.
-Regarding the price. We spent $400.00 for our Kindles. Investing a mere 10% of that in protecting it from falling out of the original cover is insurance I'm willing to pay for. Mine hasn't fallen out of this cover once, as it secures all corners. (I have accidentally dropped my Kindle while in this cover with no catastrophic fallout whatsoever. BTW my house is predominately stone and marble flooring.)
-I totally agree with the other reviewer, that I'm loathe to put a pen in the pen holder for fear of an ink explosion.
-The cover is attractive and protective. Nuances aside, this reviewer is more than pleased with this purchase.
