Too many errors to be a great study tool
I've already found 2 errors in the first 9 questions of the practice problems. I felt confident I was doing the problems correctly, but couldn't come up with an answer that matched the correct choices. When I finally gave up and looked at the explanations, the printed answers contained simple math errors (in problem #5 the square root of 2 times the square root of 2 equals 1 instead of 2, in problem #9 9+10+11=20 vs 30)

I had the same problem with the general Kaplan review book I bought. Don't they proof read these things?

I have not yet decided whether I'll return this. It's a big waste of study time to redo a problem 3 times looking for the right answer when it isn't actually listed, and you can't trust any of the explanations. That said, there are a good number of pracice problems at a higher level than I've seen in other books. And if you're trying to get an 800, you're probably comfortable enough with the basic math concepts to find the errors without getting confused (although it's still annoying and a waste of time).

Does anyone know of another book with the same level of practice problems?

Full of errors and mistypes!!!!!!
I have to say I am amazed by how many mistakes this book has!! it's insane, and it makes it really frustrating to study, because you have no confidence in the questions and the answer choices provided. In addition to some figures missing numbers needed to solve the problems, the questions sometimes have more than one answer! And when you finally get a good question and check for your answer in the answer key provided, you see that you did it wrong; only to find out that the answer key is wrong itself lol! The explanation and the answer key don't match in a few places. This book makes studying math really frustrating. It's like no one proof-read the book.

Having said that, the book has some excellent problems that other GRE books don't offer. My math score on my last exam was 780 so I am trying to improve that. And I am sorry to say this book is the only one around that I know of, which can do that. So I guess I need the book, even though I hate it. I am nice for giving it 2 stars.

Too many errors
I'm on Question 9 of the book. And I've already found 2 errors!! They are kind of ridiculous too: 9+10+11=20 and sq.root(2)*sq.root(2)=1
I would only suggest this book if you can get it free and are confident enough that you will be able to catch their mistakes without wasting a lot of time.

I agree with another review, which suggests that Kaplan seems to have done this on purpose -- to save money on proofing this publication before releasing it.
