Customer Reviews
ditch the cheap air hoses and go with these quality air hoses.
These rubber air hoses are light years better than the cheap plastic/pvc/vinyl air hoses that come with most compressors. Do yourself a huge favor and toss the cheap ones and buy yourself one of these GoodYear rubber hoses. The extra pennies spent will be well worth it to save yourself the aggregation of wrestling with the cheap hoses.
I was very pleased with the quality of these hoses and they are still holding up well after several years of abuse. I'd highly recommend these.
Worth the Money!
I've used this hose a month to operate pneumatic nailers installing interior trim. The 50-foot length allowed me to operate my air compressor outdoors and run the hose through a second-floor window. This reduced work place compressor noise and clutter.
This hose is professional quality. It's a great complement to my Porter Cable air compressor -- and it's well worth the money.
good hose
It's a good hose.
Much better than the cheap plastic-y feeling ones you're always tempted to buy because they're so cheap.
It's rugged, coils easily, even in the cold. It has a little bit of "memory", but not too bad. The fittings are solid enough.
I read another review about dropping boards on it and having it break - I can't say I've ever dropped a board on it, but I would think, at least from the feel of the thing, that if dropping boards on it breaks it, then those same boards would have broken pretty much any hose out there that from the same price range.
If you want heavier duty than this, you're almost certainly going to sacrifice flexibility and light weight - and therefore useability. You don't want to fight a stiff armored air hose with your finish nailer as you try to get up into a tight corner.
This one seems to me a very good compromise between ruggedness and suppleness (If I may use such a word without jeopardizing my manliness).
I recommend it. It's absolutely worth the few extra dollars over the cheaper hoses out there. If you're often in a high action area where boards can fall on it regularly, you might want to look into something armored, and maybe use a flex hose on the final 10 feet. But I've never had any trouble with mine. I do keep a little emergency splice kit with me, just in case. But I've never needed to use it.
