required for step 1
do not try to take step 1 without thoroughly reading, understanding and annotating this book. of course there are errors but google and get them corrected. i wrote notes in mine while doing usmleworld questions if i didnt know something or it wasn't contained in FA.
Excellent book...a must have for medschool shelf exams
I have enjoyed using this book so far. It condenses important points very well, and includes easy to remember mnemnonics and pictures. If you med-school has shelf exams it is a great resource to condense your studying so that you cover the most important topics.
You need this book
Everyone I met said I needed this book to do well on Step I. And it turns out, I needed this book to do well on Step I. Buy this book. Memorize this book. This book is your key to success. That being said, I don't think you need to buy the latest and greatest edition. I took the exam in 2007 but used a 2005 version of the book, and I was fine.
