From Publishers Weekly
A companion to The Care and Keeping of You, the spiral-bound The Care & Keeping of Me: The Body Book Journal encourages girls to write or draw in pertinent information about themselves such as, "What I should be eating more of:" and "My favorite time of day to exercise is... because..." Checklists, quizzes and tips help girls understand their bodies and express themselves. Another spiral-bound book titled, Me & My Dog: The Care and Keeping of a Girl's Best Friend by Maxine Rock, illus. by Amanda Haley, informs dog lovers how to care for their four-legged friend. There are quizzes to take, training tips and tricks to read and a keepsake section for photos and memories.

Girl Books
This is a MUST girl-read for the preteen!! Show your young lady the importance of basic hygiene in her becoming a teen. She will feel pampered and special and taken care of in this new world of body/emotion changes happening to her. A must for the young girl's library.
Great book to help your tween girl
This book was recommended to me by two people and I am so glad I got it. My 10 yr old daughter has written quite a bit in it. It has simple, appropriate explanations for the changes her body is going through. It's also a helpful way for girls to learn about the importance of hygiene etc. from another source besides their 'parent'. Books know more than parents do, right?!
Good companion
This is a good companion with the "taking care of me" book. It even has a spot where she can track her periods once that happens. I think anytrhing that takes ther edge off of growing up is a plus. This is a plus, but not "needed".
