About the Author
Nancy Teas-Crain and Linda Thompson have many years of experience working with students and writing a variety of mathematics materials. Nancy has classroom experience teaching math and has worked in educational publishing for twenty-three years. Linda worked as a math teacher and department head in junior and senior high schools for several years before becoming a writer and editor. Their experience in writing for textbooks in accordance with National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and state standards has provided them with the expertise needed to select the best topics for inclusion in this book.
