Product Description

This book was co-written by a college student and an educational consultant for middle school through college age youth. The goal was to present practical, research-based, study and test-taking strategies to teenagers from the perspective of a fellow teenager. Currently, there is no book or guide on the market that actually teaches adolescents "how" to learn and study using multiple intelligences, learning style and brain based strategies.

Great Book!5
Excellent resource for teenagers and college students who want to do better in school. The book immediately focuses in on the different types of learning styles and continues from there to showcase an array of strategies in such subjects as how to study, takes test, and deal with writing and reading assignments, to name just a few. Extremely readable with lots of visuals - perfect for young adults.

Ummm...Studying?? What's That???2
I had seen this book featured on a recent morning television program. Since I have a 15 year old struggling high school freshman having difficulty studying, the review was intriguing and led me to believe that the book was written to empower the average high school student. The author said she wrote the book from a high schooler perspective, using study tecniques she developed as a high school student.
When the book arrived, I paged through it and, although there were some useful ideas, I decided that it was written beyond my 15 year olds' interest level. He most likely would not be able to relate well with it and it would probably gather dust or get misplaced somewhere in his room.
Future printed editions should be proof read prior to publication since misspelled words and choppy, incomplete thoughts were found.
In my opinion, this instruction book would most likely be better suited for other than high school students.
