Expert Learning for Law Students is designed to help law students build the analytical skills necessary to succeed in law school, on the bar exam, and in law practice. Based on the findings of hundreds of educational studies, this book reveals how successful law students and lawyers plan, monitor, and implement their work. It also explains how experts reflect on their learning processes and identify any necessary adjustments to those processes, and it provides detailed guidance regarding individual student personality types and learning styles. The book includes more than 50 charts and graphics as well as numerous examples of how to select and implement strategies for case reading and case briefing, taking notes, memorizing, managing time, stress and workload, developing legal analysis skills, and preparing for and taking law school examinations. An accompanying workbook includes questions and exercises to assist students in practicing the concepts explained in the text. Expert Learning, accompanied by a teacher's manual, has been successfully used as part of law school introductory programs and in academic support programs. It can also be used by individual students as a study guide or aid.

Customer Reviews
Disappointing
I read this book before law school and have not found it helpful at all. There are better prep books out there that are much more effecient and direct.
really good book!
this is a great book for 1Ls - everyone starting off law school should read it!
This book really worked for me
I wasn't planning on posting a review, but I saw the other review today and I really disagreed with it. This book worked for me. It took some time, but I worked through the book and I feel now like I am a much better student. Too many books just tell you what you know and either skim over or ignore how to develop your own learning style. This book may not for everyone -- I know some people who would hate working through the various exercises because it is not how they operate. Personally, I found the exercises extremely helpful and I highly recommend this book.
