Good tools4
Definitely worth looking at! After receiving a low score, I also look at alternative books to the Kaplan. This book is clearly written and has easy to follow instruction (Whereas Kaplan may packs overwhelming notes into a single page). Some of its verbal strategies are not founded in Kaplan as well; that's what makes it worth reviewing. Although it lacks the opulence in vocabulary words, its strategies and examples are used in layman terms.

The question remains, is it worth buying? Why not, it gives me alternative methods to approach the GRE which Kaplan did not. If I get stuck on a question, it gives me hasty solution to eliminate apparent wrong answer and to guess more intelligently rather than to guess blindly when I confronted an alien vocabulary.

While this is a good book, I still utilize on Kaplan for its profusion on vocabulary skills and study methods.

Excellent test prep5
After taking the GRE and not being satisfied with my verbal score, I turned to this book. I used it everyday for about five weeks and improved my score the next time around. Pay specific attention to the vocab, it's the key to doing well on the GRE.
