There's no better prep than taking REAL tests. There are only 8 here so don't squander them. Do 1 as a timed diagnostic. Then study. Then do more. First focus on getting right answers, then add the timed factor. Starting a few weeks before your exam, do full tests, timed, @ library or school. Go over mistakes & make flash cards for every word you don't know from the tests AFTER you've taken them.

TPR spends a lot of time & effort on research & development & they take care to make sure their materials match the actual test. They have a great attitude towards the test, & this book is well organized & full of useful information. B/c of their classroom biz, they are they are accountable for their results, which is not true of test-prep books published by publishing houses.

I used this eons ago to study for my SATs and it worked wonders. It teaches vocab through Greek & Latin roots. Improving your vocabulary is one of the few things you can be very aggressive about to help your reading score... and probably your grades. Being able to communicate well is a lot more useful in life for most of us than knowing how to find the area of a circle.

You want to go to college, right? Well then read a book! This one is probably the greatest novel ever written in English in the 20th century... and by a guy for whom English was his THIRD language. Wow. It doesn't have to be this one. Just read something - anything! www.nytimes.com is also GREAT; editorials same length as reading comp.
