It's movies like this that Blu-Ray was made for. Me wantee, Mr. Fat Guy!

I've held off on buying A Matter of Loaf and Death because I want to see all of these Wallace & Gromit shorts in the best format possible

Considering this is one of the very first DVDs I ever bought I'd say an upgrade is past due, especially if the picture is clearer. This is a great movie.
