Interesting, but uncomfortable at times
This ring catches compliments and queries due to it's unusual look and different design. I really like the look of the ring and it is very light due to being made of titanium. There are two drawbacks, and the first can be a big one at times is the size. The ring is rather thick. It rises off the finger quite high all the way around. This can be a problem when you shake the hand of someone with a firm shake. The barrels and cable can really bite into the surrounding fingers. Also, DO NOT run you fingers through you or your lady's hair. The cable and the channel tend to trap hair and pull.
Cable broke and left an empty channel
Had the ring for just over a year and the cable broke a barrel popped out. Its lost forever. Now my wedding ring has the odd looking empty channel running through it...maybe Luke Skywalker can can fly his X-Wing through my ring and blow up the company that made this piece of crap. I'd give it less than one star but it really looked great new.
Looks awesome, gets comments, but serious Quality issue!
It looks Bad@55, and I've had quite a few comments on how cool it looks. I've never worn a ring or any other jewelry, but when Amazon strangely put this in my suggestions, it looked exactly my style. I told my fiance I had to have it and she got it for me as sort of a guy's engagement ring (we've since been married and have matching black titanium wedding bands).
One major problem: The two ends of the cable DO NOT meet under the protection of the barrels. This means they meet in the middle of the ring. At first I didn't care, but after a year of 24/7 wearing it a few strands of the cable came loose and started sticking up, poking my other finger and getting caught on my clothes. I have taken it off until I can figure out what to do with the three loose strands. Being titanium, I don't know how to weld them down (and worry any attempt would take off some of the black) and I don't want to cut them off.
I still love the ring and may even buy another if I can't figure how to fix it. But for $$$, it may not be worth it to some.
