Pointy pencils
Excellent product, better than most of the other brands.
I had almost given up on electric sharpener until I saw this model.
Only one caveat: it only takes pencils of standard diameter --some
color pencils are slightly thicker and they will not fit. So it is
not royalty but it is sharpening aristocracy.

Electric Pencil Sharpener by Royal
Sharpener works well for new pencils, but used pencils don't get very sharp. If pencil has not sharpened evenly, it comes out the same way when sharpened in this pencil sharpener. I was really disappointed in its performance.

My favorite electric
I'd had several electric sharpeners and this the best. It is relatively large but it is vertical so makes a small footprint and another advantage (the main one for me) is that you only need one hand to use it. I got tired of "chasing" my front-loader around the desk or else using one hand to hold my sharpener and the other to hold the pencil; so I thought I'd try this model and it works like a charm.

The slot in the top is a pencil holder. I keep three or four in there and I guess it could hold three more. Very convenient.

This, like most electrics, is designed only for the standard office pencil.
