Great Product
This sleeve is great for my Kindle. It fits very snug and the neoprene gives it a degree of protection that the book cover doesn't. It doesn't take up a lot of room in my bags either so it's easy to carry it around in this and not have to worry about scratches or dropping it. I think its definitely worth the money especially since I don't like the book cover the kindle originally came with. It is easily reversible and both colors look good.
Not bad, could be better, and mine was defective
I like the idea of this case because I too don't really care for the original case too much, but I have a few qualms.
The case does fit well, and the color is pretty sharp. The problem I had was that once you pull the device out, it's all the way out. It's not easy to flip it back closed like the original cover.
Perhaps this is more of a design complaint for Amazon, but it'd be nice to have a way to have a cover like this that wraps around the device but allows for some use while the cover is at least partly attached.
Shortly after trying this out though, I noticed that there was a defect in the stitching down the side seam and about an inch of the seam was blown open, so I returned the product. Don't think I'll try a second one.
Fits Kindle 2, too.
I bought this when I needed a new Kindle case in a pinch, after losing a different one. It's a snug fit, but the Kindle 1 does fit in it, and it gets the job done. It's reversible, so I tended to use it black-side out. My wife now has a Kindle 2, and she stole this case for her Kindle -- it fits the Kindle 2 as well. Maybe a bit better than the Kindle 1.
