AN ELMO TOY ADULTS CAN LOVE
This is one amazing toy. I'm not sure of the exact height. I forgot to read that part, but my guess is 18 to 20 inches. So to little toddlers it will appear to be playmate size. The only reason I even know about this toy is because my 5 year old niece has one and I saw a demonstration. It is a very life-like animated entertainer. He tells stories, sings songs, sits on a provided stool, crosses his legs, mouth moves in sync with talking and singing. If you knock him over he'll say something like "Oops! Elmo fell down" and when you pick him up he says "You're my best friend". Build a little stage. Gather the little ones together. Elmo will provide a wonderful show. I think it takes about 10 minutes for Elmo to go through his whole routine. I'm considering buying one for myself.

Everyone will love this one. We all thought the original was good-This one is GREAT. If you don't smile or laugh then you must be a grouch. My grandaughter will absolutely adore this one as well as everyone else. 10 stars for laughter and durability..:) :)

Just okay...kind of boring if you ask me!
I had high expectations for this toy and it's not as great as I thought it would be. I think the part that really makes this toy boring is the lengthy tirades of "storytelling" that Elmo does and this is not something of great interest to a toddler. The parts that my toddler does like are when he laughs or says something when he is being carried. My toddler has no interest in his lengthy stories. It's a cute toy in Elmo's annoying little way and my daughter loves when he starts laughing because she puts her hand in his mouth. Otherwise, it mostly sits in the corner collecting dust since she takes little interest in playing with him. I think it probably has a lot to do with not understanding (or caring about) the long boring stories Elmo flaps his jaws about that, even as an adult, are very difficult to understand (because of his high-pitched voice).
