I shouldn't have had to buy this...
The N97 comes with an adapter which should have let me use my old Nokia car charger with my N97. In practice the adapter and charger wouldn't stay connected while driving. The slightest movement meant my phone wasn't charging.

But now that I have the charger it seems to do it's job brilliantly. Perhaps not as fast as the wall charger that comes with the phone but no slouch either.
