Very happy with camera
I bought this new Samsung camera a week before going to Maui... very happy with performance, and features. I like the camera function (photos) too. BUT... I am somewhat dis-satisfied with the battery life; we got caught several times out on an adventure only to find ourselves with a dead battery very quickly. The internal memory worked really great; shot a weeks worth of video and only used about 25% of the internal memory. Never even went to the two spare 16gig SD cards I bought.
Bottom line- very happy with purchase, especially for the money, you just need to come up with another battery (or two).

Just Plan Easy
I have a Sony Handicam everything on it was like pulling teeth, so when I decided on a trying a newer Camcorder I looked and I looked. I downloaded Manuals. I was in no hurry to buy another problem. When I started researching Customer Service, Samsung won by a long shot but this remains to be seen, so far the SMX-K45 operation seems to make this not an issue. I've test every operation that I thought I might use and not a hitch. I won't go into detail if you buy one just look forward to playing with it. SWEET! comes to mind. Every year we throw a BIG Christmas Party. It's my job to take the photos of everyone with Santa this year it will be on DVD (about an hour and a half) and for the first time I'm really looking forward to it. So, go a head have fun buy one.
