Tallgrass Prairie Wildflowers Ladd/Oberle
This is a very good identification guide. The guide is set up by color, so it is easy to find the flower you want to ID. I know several people who have this guide and they also find it an excellent source for prairie wildflower identification.
great book!
This book is full of wonderful information and great pictures. It has helped me identify many plants and weeds. I especially love the section on weeds that seems absent from many other books.
Great book for plant identification
We live in South Central Iowa and are letting our hay and pasture farm revert to praire. It is surprising how many original plants will recover if given a chance. We use this book to identify plants we have never noticed before since their numbers were so low and are now, after four years, becoming commen. This book has clear pictures and discriptions that have allowed us to identify our native plants and even some invasive species that we thought were native. We highly recommend this book.
