NOT RECOMMENDED!
This book is obviously a self-published book, with so many spelling errors and typos it is sad! I am the WORST at punctuation and spelling, but if I published a book, I would at least let my 13-year-old proofread it first! The pictures and captions are SO hokey.
I can't believe I spent $0.00 on this book! The author -lists her website which doesn't even exist. It brings you to a search site called Find It!
I bought it solely because of the reviews, which I am now sure were all written by friends and family!
Please don't make the same mistake I did.
I am sending this book back to Amazon, which I have never done before. I have been a customer with them for years and have never been so disappointed in a purchase.
Instead of this book, buy "The REAL Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery: An Indespensible Guide to What You Can Really Expect!" by Julie M. Janeway and Karen J. Sparks. If it's a "human element" you are looking for, as well as really USEFUL information, this is the book for you. Also high on my recommended list is "Weight Loss Surgery: Finding the Thin Person Hiding Inside You" by Barbara Thompson and "Before and After: Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" by Susan Maria Leach.
Please authors....write more...
I had weight loss surgery six months ago and my motivation was at an alltime low. I had heard about Jan and Bart because of a wonderful protein shake they distribute, and then was told about their book. I bought Jan and Bart's book to give myself a shot in the arm for a boost in my morale. Wow! I did not realize that it would transend to every aspect of my life. They taught me how to live life to the fullest, and to think of life as an adventure. I got more out of this book than I got out of a year of counseling. I was lost so deeply in the experience that several hours passed yet it felt like only five minutes. This is the first book that I actually took notes and stopped to reflect on my life while reading it. This was a life altering experience. I even tried the recipes and they were quick, easy and delicious. Thank you for your humor, your wisdom, and your honesty.
WoW! What a great book!
This is a humorous and very informative book. I enjoyed this well written interesting book. It gave me such great information that I couldn't put it down. It has a human side that made me read it more than once. Everytime I read it, I learn more and more. You will not be sorry reading this book!
