It's highlighted by a bezel that's ringed with a thin line of tiny diamonds, which will add a glorious sparkle to any ensemble. The mid-sized egg-shaped watch case provides a unique wide-view design that will also garner glances. The pink guilloché dial includes black Arabic numerals in a stretched, stylized font, black skeleton hands (with ultra-thin seconds hand), and a small, round date window at 3 o'clock. It's matched to a Louisiana crocodile leather strap in pink with tonal stitching accents, and a polished stainless steel buckle with an oval shape to match the case.

It's powered by the highly dependable and accurate Swiss ETA 2824 automatic winding, 25-jewel timing movement, and this watch includes a small sapphire glass window in the case back so you can view the mechanism at work. Other features include a scratch-resistant sapphire glass crystal and water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet)--enabling it to withstand splashes and accidental dunks into the water, but not suitable for swimming.

An automatic (or self-winding) watch is fitted with a device (rotor) that automatically winds the spring by using the force of gravity. It needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time--as long as you're moving, the watch will stay powered. Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet invented the self-winding mechanism in 1770. It worked on the same principle as a modern pedometer, and was designed to wind as the owner walked.
