Great Compilation! G Funk Era!5
This is yet another nostalgic compilation that is another one of my favourites. A mix of fast/slow rhythm & blues, and some fast/slow hip hop, the rest is everything inbetween. I appreciate almost every song and can't help but wonder where some of the artists have gone, since I haven't heard of many in a long while. "U Will Know" was a popular hit on the charts that included many of the popular artists in the 90's (BMU - Black Men United), and now I can really appreciate the meaning of it now that I'm much older. "Forget I was a G" by the Whitehead Bros (another classic) was great and so is their CD (being the sons of the legendary, John Whitehead, you know they can sing), LSD has a smooth, chillin', rollin with the windows down, kind of song, Mint Condition (prime), KC (nice), Jamecia (kinky), J Quest (beautiful song, unfortunately he didin't make it big and his other recordings weren't very good)...and the list goes on. Unlike many modern songs that don't have much rhythm or melody, this is another example of music that all had great tunes -- some you want to sing to, some to bump to, and others that you want to relax to. I've almost completed buying all my favourite cd's that I've lost from the 90's, and this is one of the best. Grab this one and you'll see the value.
