Erykah mixes jazz, soul and some hip-hop for a very unique sound. Features "On and On," "Appletree," "Other Side of the Game," "Sometimes," and "Certainly.

This EP has more of a soul and hip-hop flavour and features some of my favourite Erykah Badu songs. I love "I Want You," "Woo," "Danger," and "Think Twice." But the other songs are great as well.

Ginuwine's second great album is even more experimental than "The Bachelor" and features a Spanish influence . It has more slow and romantic tracks than "The Bachelor." Highlights are:"So Anxious," None Of Ur Friend's Business," "Wait a Minute,"Do You Remember," "I'm Crying Out," "Two Sides To A Story" and more.

An amazing album with more emphasis on soul than neo. Jaguar has a very powerful voice and great writting ability. Much of the production of this album is by members of The Roots. My favourites are "The What Ifs," "Same Sh, Different Day," "I Don't Know," "2 Too Many," and "Lineage."

This album reveals that Jaheim has the best voice in contemporary R&B. Rather than experiment with different styles he sticks to his unique blend of classic soul, hip-hop and R&B here.

Arguably their best, Jodeci adopted the Hip-Hop Soul sound with this album. There is a mix of great slow songs that never get old ("Cry for You"), and unique faster songs ("In the Meanwhile").

John Legend and Kanye West have created a unique sound in modern soul with this album. The best songs include "I Can Change," "Ordinary People," "So High," and "It Don't Have to Change."

A very creative album with an electronic soul sound. All production is done by the Neptunes. A few of the great tracks are: "Good Stuff," "Caught Out There," "Get Along With You," "Game Show," "Suspended," "No Turning Back," and "Roller-Rink."

An amazingly soulful album, with a timeless yet modern sound. It's one of the best soul albums in years with production by Wyclef Jean, Raphael Saadiq, Kanye West, James Poyser, and Commissioner Gordon. Best tracks include "Music," "Ghetto," "My Joy," "Didn't I," and "Long Time Coming,"... actually just about everything on the album!
