No ending
In case you only look at the number of stars and don't read the full text of the other reviews, this book does not include any of the climax of the film. I bought this book for my girl because she fell asleep during the end of the film and I wanted her to be able to find out what happened before the DVD came out. It annoys me greatly that Barnes & Noble has a 'special edition' with extra chapters in it, but they left out the entire resolution of the film from the standard edition.
Does Jack or Will get the girl? Does Davey Jones get what's coming to him? Are the pirates wiped out? You'll never know if you read this book.

I too was looking forward to getting the novelization for this book, but after having seen the movie and finding out how it ended there was NO WAY I was going to buy this book without that ending. However----I work next door to Barnes and Nobles and they have the complete version in a limited edition hardcover. It is pretty good. And---it has the complete story and explains some of the things you may have missed from the movie. I hope that someday Amazon will carry this edition and if they have it already then I guess I missed it.
THE BEST SO FAR!
This book is amazing.It has a great story and plot.Not only that you get colorful pictures from the movie!I find that very useful to see the faces of the unknow chracters.I havent gotten the book but i read most of it at Barnes And Nobles and I loved it!couldnt put it down.unfortunately i didnt have enought money at the time!But when i do this will be my first choice!I also reccomend the hardcover special edition from barnes and nobles booksellers.It has the special ending with jack and the special movie theatre ending!!!!A MUST BUY FOR ALL PIRATES FANs.yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me!!........
