Ever since she was a child, Char Margolis saw, heard, and felt things that were beyond the tangible, explainable world. As she became aware of her psychic gift, she realized several profound truths: we don't die; we don't have to fear death; our loved ones are waiting for us when we pass over; we can communicate and receive messages from the other side. Now, in this remarkable and inspiring book, Char tells her story and delivers, through powerful anecdotes, this message of wisdom and love. In this book, you will learn what death is really like, why and how deceased loved ones are trying to talk to you, how to discern messages from the universe and make decisions about your own life. Questions from Earth, Answers from Heaven also provides the key for true seekers everywhere to explore your own natural psychic abilities and tap into your own God-given intuition. By unlocking your sixth sense, you will learn not only about the joys (and dangers) of the spirit world, but also how to use your intuition to enhance your life in many ways. Amazon.com Review
Witty and winning, celebrity psychic Char Margolis tells it like it is on the subject of talking to the dead for a living. Margolis wrote Questions from Earth, Answers from Heaven to help people "awaken their own instinctive intuitive abilities," which they can use as a guide to what she terms "the Age of Awareness," the upcoming shift from a material world to a spiritual one. She warns people away from psychic hotlines in the hope that readers will be convinced to develop their own powers. According to Margolis, the five reasons to use your own intuition are: 1) Intuition helps us prepare for the future and eliminate worry. 2) Intuition allows us to help others, especially our loved ones. 3) Intuition lets us know when we're in sync with the universe. 4) Intuition teaches us to trust our own inner wisdom. And, 5) Intuition helps us to grow and develop as souls. If this sounds like reason enough for you, Questions from Earth will help you tune into answers from heaven to your most heartfelt queries. --Randall Cohan
From Publishers Weekly
A veteran of talk shows who has been interviewed by Barbara Walters, Sally Jesse Raphael and Geraldo Rivera, among others, Margolis has been giving psychic readings for 25 years. Here she provides examples of her psychic successes along with encouragement to those seeking to tap into their own intuition and to make contact with deceased loved ones. Part guide to the spirit world, part psychic cheerleader, Margolis nevertheless offers down-to-earth suggestions for creating health and happiness by maintaining a positive attitude, avoiding negative persons and situations, making informed decisions and taking charge of one's life. Stating that "Life is a school and we've been put here to learn certain lessons," Margolis urges readers to use their experiences to lead them to their soul mates and to satisfying careers and healing. If her involvement in cases like Dean Paul Martin's disappearance and various police investigations has catapulted her into the limelight (and she clearly uses these examples as proof of her psychic abilities), Margolis also focuses on ways in which individuals without any obvious psychic gifts can become attuned to subtle physical, mental and emotional warning signs of trouble. Indeed, the book is so rooted in common sense that it reads more like a self-help book than like some titles that depend on much bolder claims about the psychic abilities of an author. (Sept.)

From Library Journal
Despite the title, this book is not about the power of prayer. Rather, it is about cultivating your psychic ability to contact loved ones beyond the grave. Margolis, a psychic instructor and lecturer, presents enough anecdotes about her own psychic powers to turn any skeptic into a believer. This how-to book, however, falls short of its goal. Margolis offers a step-by-step guide to tapping into your intuitive powers, but the results of following her advice have more to do with reading people, feeling their emotions, and paying attention to "gut reactions" than with contacting the dead. To her credit, Margolis does warn readers about unscrupulous psychics and the necessity of acting from personal choice rather than others' advice, whether it be your dead grandmother or your psychic. She also does a good job of explaining what to expect when developing your psychic powers. Purchase where demand on this subject matter is high.AMarija Sanderling, Rochester P.L., NH

Customer Reviews
Very special since I have a story in it.
A couple of years ago I had a reading with Char on the phone. I could not believe how she knew the names of people in my family, living and dead. I did not feel any fear as I thought I might, I only felt peace and comfort by her words. Being raised a Catholic, I was very worried about even going thru with this reading. I surrounded myself with statues and said a prayer to God before we started. That's all I can say is that the experience was unbeleivable. Two years later I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of her book signings. She was as warm in person as she was on the phone. She is a loving and caring person and only means well for people. After reading the book I have become more aware of the importance of being a more in tune person about what we do here on earth and how it will effect us after we are gone. Just think, isn't it a nice thought to think we will be able to see our children and loved ones after we are gone? Read the book, and also read " Talking to Heaven"
Intuition: the Mystery Sense that We All Possess
_This excellent book could have very easily been titled "Intuition- and How to Use it." I've read a number of books written specifically on the subject of developing the intuitive mode of thought and this volume is by far the best. From the start the author points out that intuition is a type of knowing that we all have. Perhaps some of us are born with it to a stronger natural degree, but all of us have it and can learn to strengthen what we have. In fact, most of us are taught from a very young age to ignore our intuition and to always use rational, left-brain thinking. You can break this conditioning. The author points out that we are given the gifts of common sense, rational thought, and intuition- and that we are to use them all in the correct blend. After all, reason doesn't work all the time if you lack all the facts- and how many times do you really think that you have all the facts? Intuition connects you to a higher level of reality that we all share- including those who have passed on.
_The author's description of life and the afterlife is classic and has the ring of truth to it. We are here to grow through struggle and making tough choices under tough conditions. That is how our spirit grows. Many of our difficulties have roots in previous incarnations. We are all spiritual beings- some of us incarnate and some disincarnate. This is important to remember if you are receiving impressions from the other side- not all spirits (either on earth or beyond) should be trusted. Our goal should not be to simply make contact with spirits. The highest goal should always be to make contact with God/higher consciousness/universal wisdom. You do this by always keeping your ego in check and making sure that your deepest intensions always corresponds with the highest possible level of goodness and wisdom.
_This book not only gives you specific individual stories of successfully receiving information from the other side, but it also tells you how to develop such ability in yourself. At the very lest, it should give you a sense of what the genuine experience is like. That's one of the most refreshing aspects of this book, its insistence that you should depend on yourself and not any spirit guide, psychic or guru. You can listen to such sources, but ultimately YOU are responsible for making your own decisions.
_The secret between intuition and mere wishful thinking is experience. It took years before I came to trust it. Then I noticed that virtually ever time I went against my intuition (but with strict logic and statistics) things turned out badly. Whenever I went with my intuition (and the natural flow underlying the surface of the world) everything turned out well, if not exactly as I had planned. There are good spirits seeking to guide and protect us if we allow ourselves to work with them. Just learn to recognize when they ARE good spirits.
Getting in touch with your spiritual side
This was an excellent book for anyone interested in realizing the God given psychic gift we all have. It not only has interesting story's of a psychics adventures, it answers questions to so many things that happen in our lives on a daily basis that just don't make sense. It teaches us how everyone can learn to listen to that inner voice that keeps us from making the wrong decisions in life. It also makes sense of death and why some people live so long and others only a short time. After reading this book death no longer seems scary and final. There are so many spiritual things going on in the world around us every day and now we can all become a little in tune with them. I highly reccomend this book to anyone interested in discovering the "inner you".
