And the fun does not stop. There are malls to survive, markets to conquer and questions to answer like: Why does the famous saying Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder work only as a slogan for the Braille Institute?
From Cucumbers in the Clinic to Let Me Eat Cake, all the stories and spoofs in Where Can I Be Decaffeinated? revel in the unexpected and show how hilarious life can be. So kick back, relax, and enjoy what the doctor has ordered because laughter is nothing to joke about.

this book will decaffeinate you....
Very funny, entertaining, full of laughs, real life stories we can all relate to. A beautifully written book with a keen, delightful sense of humor, great dialogs, touching many true subjects in our lives. I was laughing so hard at times, I could barely breath, my husband can hardly wait to read it also.
Sit back and enjoy the stories.
Delightful surprise
This book was a delightful surprise for me. I bought it at a booth at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and then walked around the fair with my nose in it, chuckling out loud. A little bit Erma Brombeck and a little bit Robert Benchley, Dr. Alice writes short pithy essays on the extraordinarily funny absurdity of very ordinary life. Fantasy and reality intertwine seamlessly (that's the Benchley touch). For instance, the near-calamatous peeing incident with her toddler on the way to Hawaii probably did happen; the inflatable Titanic II marital aid in Dr. Alice's bedroom probably didn't. That doesn't matter. It just feels great to laugh and be reminded that life is after all a delightful surprise.
A Much Needed Belly Laugh
I loved this book. It is full of funny and entertaining tales about just how silly life can be. I had so much fun that I read it straight through from cover to cover. Two of my favorite stories were,"The Whiz Kid" and "Into The Market." This is a perfect gift for any occasion.
