Just in time for Christmas!5
My girlfriend gave me a copy of Dr. Nozik's book and said, "Here, you need this!' I thought to myself, "Great, another dumb book," but when I got into it, I changed my mind. I've been putting Dr. Nozik's formula to work for about five weeks now and I've noticed a HUGE difference in how I've been able to relate to some of the "difficult people" in my family, and this being Christmas, I can use all the help I can get!!

Review of Happy 4 Life: Here's How to Do It

Review by: Frank J. Weinstock, MD

Happiness is an elusive concept that most people cannot describe. Many people verbalize that they are happy, but really are not.

Happiness is more than making money, which may help you to achieve goals; more often the seeking of and the making of money is a source of unhappiness.
In order to be happy, you must analyze your current condition honestly. Then you begin to develop a plan to achieve happiness.
This book will show you how to "establish" a happiness quotient from where it will then guide you to the achievement of happiness. Happiness should be a way of life, independent of financial and materialistic gains. Everyone should be happy- the author is doing a "public service" in spreading his wisdom and experience. He has been involved in teaching happiness for several years and now has agreed to share his ideas and concepts with the rest of us.
I highly recommend this book for EVERYONE. If you think you are happy, this will help you to be happier. If you are not happy, this book will help you see it.

The New Twelve Commandments5
We have the Twelve Commandments, Twelve Step Programs, and now the Twelve Steps to Happiness, Bob Nozik's very practical and systematic guide to living happily. As one has a cooking book of recipes for creating culinary feasts, Bob serves up a series of life feasts providing all the ingredients necessary for life to be a feast of happiness. As a physician, his academic background is quite evident. He sets up a dialogue throughout the book between himself, the teacher, and `glumbunny', the student. He deals with `glumbunny's skepticism about living each step of the happy life, i.e., conscious awareness, self-like/love, self-esteem, appreciation, acceptance. These steps have practical anecdotes included with excellent quotes. Each step has its own very intriguing and unexpected approach. His exercises and practicums are very worthwhile.
However, beware this is not an academician's tome. It is meant for someone looking for a `how to' approach. I would recommend it to coaches, psychotherapists, those who are pursuing and are curious about self-development.
