About the Author
Cheryl Miller Thurston is a former English teacher with over 13 years of experience in the classroom, grades seven through university level. Thurston has written many books based on this teaching experience, including Hide Your Ex-Lax Under the Wheaties, Ideas that Really Work! and Survival Tips for New Teachers. Her most recent project Moonlighting Teachers, a theatrical teacher troupe, which performs a show written and directed by Thurston.

Excellent teacher resource!
"If they're Laughing..." was a great read for two main reasons. Firstly, in today's classrooms sometimes there is not a lot to laugh about. This book allows the teacher to find ways to laugh with the students everyday. I believe that students that laugh and enjoy school will work hard to get to school everyday. Secondly, even if you don't use these ideas in class, there are lots of funny stories and anecdotes. I was chuckling to myself as I was reading and relaxing (this is definitely not a typical textbook / teacher guide read). If you are looking to add some fun and humour to your classroom, "If They're Laughing..." is a MUST! END

Humor works...imagine that!
This book is an absolutely wonderful resource for teachers who feel they might be at the end of their chain or are simply looking for a way of revitalizing their classroom.
